What happened to Avril Lavigne?

It seemed like Avril had vanished. Here’s the story:
Avril Lavigne came down with a mysterious illness last year that had fans wondering what exactly was wrong. Now, Lavigne has revealed to People that she was stricken with Lyme disease.
“I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I was bedridden for five months,” Lavigne says. “There were definitely times I couldn’t shower for a full week because I could barely stand…I thought I was dying.” She believes a tick bit her sometime last spring and claims she’s now “80 percent better.”
She also said her mother moved into her Ontario home to help care for her, with husband Chad Kroeger helping out between stints on his Nickelback tour.
